Shadow work in a nutshell → if the desire for money, power & status is inherently evil, most (if not all) human beings are inherently evil.
Alt → we need to rethink our definition of evil.
I think the desire to be seen to be “good” is far more dangerous.
In case you couldn't tell, I don't consider myself to be a particularly “good” person.
And... oh my God, there's so much fucking joy in that.
Being good is really fucking boring. And exhausting. And I'm just not very good at it. No matter how hard I try.
Because “being good” is an impossible standard that's literally designed to oppress us.
It's the language of shame, made (fake) nice.
Conclusion:
A path forward:
you are not, and have never been, “broken”. you are not, and have never been, “bad”. there is nothing wrong with you. you are not the problem. you are not a problem
your presence is love. your being is love. your presence is loved. your being is loved.
can you feel it?
I love you. Stay with me.
