An open letter to men, from Every Woman.

We need you to show up for us. Now.

Men,

I love you so much, and I’m frustrated.

I’m sad. I’m hurt. I’m angry.

And I’m not “crazy” for it.
I’m not “crazy” at all.

I am ruthlessly, relentlessly truthful.

Sometimes I wonder whether I’m the only one who will not lie to you.

I don’t want your words. I want your action.
I want your advocacy. I want your allyship.

I desire more support.
I deserve more support.
I deserve & desire to be more supported than I am.

And it hurts (not to receive this from you).

It hurts not to feel supported by you.
I am hurting without you.

What I Want:

I want you to proactively take it upon yourself to take actions that support me & other women.

And if you don’t know how to do this, I want you to admit it.

I don’t want you to take it upon yourself to work it out by yourself— or by consulting other men.
